Preschools
The quality of the learning experience at a young age is critical to the future aspirations of our children. Often, the education gap between the poor and the resourced begins at an elementary level in our preschools and it never closes. The need for targetted and deliberate intervention in the education space is clear throughout the age-groups and no more so than right at the beginning of the schooling process.
If you are interested in sponsoring a child, it costs us R500 for the year per child. Kids receive a minimum of one session every week with a trained faciliator on age-appropriate educational software. Every little bit is highly appreciated, whether it is R50 or R500 or more. We are reliant on your generosity for this preschools programme and are deeply grateful for the opportunity to impact positively on the lives of young kids from the impoverished community. Thank you again.
During 2009, Siyakhula will take 100 impoverished Grade R preschool kids from Ivory Park and teach them to use computers by offering age-appropriate basic literacy and numeracy exercises.
So far we have 52 preschools kids sponsored.
