Background
SEF is a young and emerging social benefit organisation empowering South Africa’s historically disadvantaged communities through quality educational programmes and enterprise development. SEF has a head for effective and sustainable solutions and a heart for real and measurable grassroots social improvement.
SEF was founded by a couple would-be social entrepreneurs in search of opportunities to direct their collective energies into something that would result in positive social benefit. Their first venture was to breathe new life into a defunct township community centre and it was very quickly evident that quality education is key to unlocking sustained opportunity and positive social change in the long term.
